Grown in a coconut fibre mini-pot to plug and grow in the tank. Packed in a breathable blister packaging to go.
The Latin name means "the plant with the round leaves''. But this only applies to the marsh variety, which has circular leaves.
Rotala rotundifolia from South-East Asia has long, thin leaves and 15-30 long stems, 2-3 cm wide including the leaves. Unlike other Rotala species it is relatively undemanding, although it needs good light to produce red leaves. It forms side shoots willingly, becoming compact and bushy. This also means that it is hard for light to reach the lower leaves, so the plant should be pruned frequently.

Mooi plantje
Handig, zo'n cocosmandje om meteen in het aquarium te zetten. Mooie blaadjes. Benieuwd of er bloempjes zullen volgen.
De kokospotjes zijn geweldig, kan gewoon geplant in worder in het aquarium met pot en al. Wortels groeien gewoon door de pot heen en de plant vestigst zich in het aquarium, aangezien de pot gemaakt is van kokosnoot vezel draadjes. Ik heb een hekel aan die plastic potjes waarbij ik de plantjes voorzichtig uit elkaar moet halen om ze vervolgens één voor één te moeten planten. Ik heb veel meer success met plantjes wanneer ik ze koop in deze kokospotjes.
