Ziss Aqua ZH-700 Artemia Blender – Ideal for hatching your own brine shrimp

With the Ziss Aqua ZH-700 Artemia Blender, you can easily hatch your own live food with maximum yield. This compact and efficient Artemia blender is made from clear, scratch-resistant polycarbonate and features an adjustable mounting bracket, allowing it to be used either freestanding or hung on the inside or outside of your aquarium.

The lid includes openings for a thermometer and aquarium heater (both sold separately). A small 25W aquarium heater is sufficient to keep the temperature stable at 26–28°C, even in a cooler room.

The conical (funnel-shaped) bottom allows you to harvest newly hatched brine shrimp easily and without eggshells through the dedicated drain valve. The included air diffuser (ZAD-10), together with a small air pump, keeps the brine shrimp eggs continuously in motion, which is essential for achieving a high hatch rate.

Our tips:

Use a flashlight (or your phone) when harvesting the nauplii. They are attracted to light. Shine the light near the drain valve and they will gather there, while the empty eggshells remain floating at the surface.
Fill the blender to a maximum of 3–4 cm below the rim. This prevents the eggs from sticking to the underside of the lid and drying out during aeration.
Store the eggs in a refrigerator or freezer in an airtight container. Heat and moisture quickly reduce egg quality.
