Looking for lighting that also reaches the lower stem plants in your nano aquarium? The Dennerle Trocal Flat 35 delivers 2100 lumens from a slim aluminium housing that is less than two centimetres thick. With a colour temperature of 6500 Kelvin, this daylight spectrum provides the wavelengths plants need for photosynthesis.
The mounting brackets attach directly to the glass rim of aquariums measuring between 40 and 45 cm wide (up to 12 mm glass thickness). The concentrated LED output creates a defined interplay of light and shadow as well as an attractive ripple effect on the substrate when the water surface moves.
High light output for small aquariums
In a 25 to 45 litre aquarium, this light provides between 45 and 80 lumens per litre. This offers sufficient light intensity for demanding carpeting plants such as Micranthemum tweediei ('Monte Carlo') or Eleocharis. Red plant species also retain their deep red colour under this light intensity instead of turning green.

Our tip: Pay attention to the high light intensity during installation: 2100 lumens is a high light dose for a 30 to 40 litre aquarium. If you are not using CO2 injection or the aquarium has only recently been set up, do not immediately run the light for 8 to 10 hours per day. Start with a maximum of 6 hours per day and increase the duration by half an hour each week. Make sure you provide sufficient plant fertilization (micronutrients and macronutrients) to help prevent algae growth caused by the high light intensity.
