Looking for bright lighting for an open nano aquarium from 10 to 30 litres? The Dennerle Trocal Style Two clips directly onto the glass rim of your aquarium. With 800 lumens and a colour temperature of 6500 Kelvin, this clip-on light provides powerful daylight in which stem plants, mosses and shrimp show their natural colours.
Heat is the biggest enemy of LED chips. That is why the rear of the housing features ceramic cooling fins. These dissipate heat directly into the surrounding air. As a result, the LED diodes operate at a low working temperature, helping to prevent a reduction in light output. This allows you to get the full 50,000 hours of operating life from the light.
Thoughtful technology for nano aquariums
Installation is simple: slide the clip onto aquarium glass up to 5 millimetres thick and tighten it by hand. Thanks to the wide 120-degree beam angle, the light reaches the lower corners of the aquarium. This helps prevent shaded areas behind wood or rocks, accelerating the growth of carpeting plants.

Our tip: Are you placing this light over a newly set up nano aquarium with a small water volume (10–20 litres)? During the first two weeks, strictly limit the lighting period to a maximum of 6 hours per day using an analogue or digital timer. Because 800 lumens creates a high light intensity in a small volume of water, this helps prevent an algae spike during the initial setup phase, when the plants are still developing their roots. After that, increase the lighting duration by 30 minutes each week, up to a maximum of 8 to 9 hours per day.
