Najas guadalupensis 'Guppy Grass'
Najas guadalupensis 'Guppy Grass' is one of the easiest aquarium plants to keep. This fast-growing species has few demands and is therefore particularly suitable for beginners. Thanks to its rapid growth, it absorbs many waste substances from the water while also providing numerous natural hiding spots.
Najas guadalupensis is officially a stem plant but can also be used loose in the aquarium as a bunch/portion. It does not necessarily need to be planted in the substrate in order to thrive. Roots sometimes grow downward from the leaf axils, searching for the substrate. The plant absorbs nutrients from both the substrate and the water column.
With its fresh green color, this plant is a beautiful addition to any aquarium. Its fine leaf structure creates a natural appearance. Propagation is easy by dividing and replanting. Regular trimming keeps the plant compact.
