The lotus pods have several small holes where shrimps can hide in and find food. The lotus pods are a natural product which gives the aquarium a natural look and recreates the natural environment of shrimp and fish.
The effects of the lotus pods on the water parameters in the aquarium can be compared to the effects of catappa products. The Lotus pods are full of tannins that have many positive effects and naturally lower the KH/pH of the water. It also has an antibacterial and stress-reducing effect. The lotus pods give the water a brown color and are therefore also suitable for creating a blackwater biotope.
As the lotus pod is a natural product, it can differ in shape and size.
Hint: let the pods grow with a piece of moss for a very natural effect.

Heel mooi natuurproduct maar ik heb de pech dat het na enige tijd nog steeds blijft drijven en ik denk dat dit ook zo zal blijven maar wel heel mooi.
Mooi stukje natuur in het aquarium. Online staat er her en der dat het 40 min gekookt moet worden. NIET DOEN!

Leuke lotus pod! Duurde een paar dagen voordat hij zonk, maar nu ligt hij er al een hele tijd. Garnalen vinden het ook erg leuk om in te chillen.
