Juwel Bioflow ONE filter media and maintenance advice
The JUWEL Bioflow ONE is a biologically based aquarium filter. The system starts with the two supplied blue filter sponges.
Maintenance guidelines:
- Replacing filter sponges: Replace one of the blue filter sponges (bioPlus fine ONE) approximately every 3 months.
- Preserving bacteria: Never replace all blue filter media at the same time to preserve the essential bacterial culture.
- Maintaining the pump: Clean the pump (Juwel Eccoflow 300) at least once per month. To ensure smooth and optimal operation, it is recommended to replace wear parts such as the impeller and shaft with rubber bearings approximately every 12 months.
- Running-in phase: Please note that the filtration system requires a running-in phase of about 6 to 8 weeks before the bacterial culture is fully established for optimal biological purification.

The Juwel Bioflow ONE is suitable for aquariums up to 80 litres. This filter is compatible with the following Juwel models:
