OAS Activated Carbon

Activated carbon is of high quality and has a large absorption capacity. This means that activated carbon can bind substances, making them easy to remove from the aquarium. Activated carbon is therefore ideal for removing medications or unpleasant odors, for example.

Place the activated carbon in a filter bag or stocking and rinse it under tap water until no more black water comes out. Then place the activated carbon in the filter or, if that’s not possible, at the filter’s outflow so the water flows through the carbon.

Replace activated carbon after 4 weeks of use, as it has the property of storing toxic substances over time.
