This filter bag features an ultra-fine 180-micron mesh and measures 13 × 25 cm. It securely retains even the smallest filter media while allowing maximum water flow through your filter.

The bag is made from a durable synthetic material that is resistant to bleach, acids and other harsh chemicals. This means you can rinse or regenerate your filter media without removing it from the bag. The convenient resealable closure allows you to replace the contents quickly and without mess.

The perfect match for Seachem Purigen

Using Seachem Purigen? Then Seachem The Bag is almost essential. Purigen beads are so incredibly small that they can pass straight through most standard filter bags. This can create a mess in your aquarium and may permanently damage your filter pump. The Bag is one of the few filter bags available with a mesh fine enough (180 microns) to safely contain Purigen.

Our tip

Do not pack the filter bag too tightly with filter media. Leave a few centimetres of space so the media can move freely. If the media is packed too tightly, water will follow the path of least resistance and flow around the bag instead of through it. Allowing some room ensures water passes through the media, giving you maximum filtration efficiency.
