Chihiros Doctor Touch Control
Chihiros Doctor Touch Control
The Chihiros Doctor Touch Control is a water sterilizer for aquariums from 125 to 700 liters. The device features 3 pre-programmed modes: plants, fish, and shrimp. When using the plant mode, algae growth is suppressed and plant growth is promoted. The fish and shrimp modes kill pathogenic bacteria in the water without harmful effects on beneficial bacteria or aquarium inhabitants.
The operation is based on the proven principle of water electrolysis. In this process, the surrounding water (H₂O) is split into H₂ and O, the basic elements of water: hydrogen and oxygen.
During this process, hydroxyl radicals (OH°) are also formed, which react with algae spores, bacteria, or contaminants in the water, neutralizing or destroying them. Since electrolysis only takes place in a very limited area and not continuously, beneficial substrate or filter bacteria are not affected. The use of the Chihiros Doctor is also safe for fish and invertebrates.

Installation and Use
Notes
- The Chihiros Doctor should only be used in aquariums with a TDS value below 500 ppm. Always check the TDS value before use. See our TDS meters here.
- The Chihiros Doctor does not work with UV light like a UV filter, but is based on electrolysis. The special "mist" will not continuously come out of the reactor. This is regulated automatically.
- The Chihiros Doctor uses a mesh reactor. This is a wear part that needs to be replaced every 6 months. It is available separately from us.
- The lifespan of the mesh reactor can be extended by soaking it in a cup of vinegar once a significant amount of residue has accumulated. Let it sit for a few hours and most of the residue will be gone. Rinse under the tap and the mesh reactor can be used again.
