BLAU Refractometer
The BLAU Refractometer allows for easy and accurate measurement of the salinity in seawater. It features automatic temperature compensation, ensuring the device functions correctly at normal room temperature.
This refractometer has a range of 0–40 PPT.
Instructions for Use
- Clean the glass prism and cover plate before use to ensure no salt crystals are present.
- Calibrate the refractometer at a room temperature of 20°C using the supplied screwdriver. A detailed calibration description can be found in the manual.
- Rinse the included pipette several times with aquarium water, then place a few drops of aquarium water on the blue prism. Close the cover plate afterward.
- Look through the eyepiece and you will see a blue/white boundary line indicating the measured salinity level.
