ADA Amazonia Soil Powder
Amazonia Soil Powder by ADA is an active substrate composed of organic materials that help lower the pH level of the water. The color of this substrate is inspired by the natural tones of the Amazon region. This makes it easy to recreate a natural Amazon-style environment in your aquarium.
Thanks to the active components in this Amazonia Soil Powder, kH is effectively absorbed from the water, allowing the pH to stabilize around 6.0 (depending on the water used). This is the ideal pH level for keeping and breeding shrimp that prefer softer, more acidic water. It is also the optimal pH level for aquarium plants, as they can absorb nutrients most efficiently under these conditions. The grain size is between 1 and 2 millimeters, allowing beneficial bacteria to thrive in the substrate while enabling plants to root optimally.
These granules therefore contribute to an optimal biological balance in the aquarium. Also ideal for use in combination with an undergravel filter! This is a hard granule that maintains its round shape in the aquarium for a very long time.
The differences between ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia and Amazonia ver.2
Amazonia
The Amazonia soil by ADA is inspired by the natural substrate of the Amazon. This soil therefore contains many organic acids and nutrients. The black color beautifully enhances the colors of fish and shrimp while giving the aquarium a natural and warm appearance. This substrate is ideal for heavily planted aquariums and aquariums where a low pH/kH is desired.

However, Amazonia ver.2 contains fewer nutrients such as nitrates and organic substances, making the cycling phase easier and reducing the chance of algae in aquariums with a low to medium number of aquarium plants. The pH/kH lowering effect is the same as with the original Amazonia. This makes Amazonia ver.2 more suitable for (shrimp) aquariums with few to moderately planted layouts and mosses.

De fijne amazonia korrels zorgen er voor dat je een mooie toplaag krijgt. Tevens helpt dit ietwat tegen verzakking van je hoogte verschillen. Helaas niet goedkoop.
