Filtermedium is used in aquarium filters. Filter media ensures complete filtration of the aquarium water.

There are two types of filtermedium.

- Filter media for biological filtration (ensures good attachment for good bacteria).
- Filter media for chemical filtration (ensures that substances get bound to the filtermedium).
