Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' - In vitro

The Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' is a carpet-forming aquarium plant that is very often used as a floor covering. By regularly cutting this aquarium plant, it will expand in width by forming foothills. These will automatically rise, creating new plants in the areas around the planted areas.

The Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' is also very popular with aqua-scapers. Since the plant has a compact, green and low growth habit, the entire ground covering is often formed by only using this plant. Monte Carlo is easy to combine with other aquarium plants and can also be used as a solo foreground plant.

When a carpet is to be formed with the aquarium plant, plant feed and the addition of CO2 are recommended. CO2 can be omitted if the pH is kept low (lower than 6.5). This can be done with the use of aquasoil, for instance. Our advice: use about 1 cup per 10 x 10 cm aquarium bottom for forming a carpet.
